Goldeneye Rouge Agent Impressions

11/28/04

Possibly one of the best First person shooters out for the Gamecube. Ea out did themselves with this game, but say that its better than Goldeneye, that's a toughie, but in its own way it's a land mark for the FPS genre.

The story goes as followed, you worked for MI6 but on one of your missions you let 007 get killed so your disbarred from MI6. Luckily for you get recruited by one of the most sinister villains in the James Bond World.

The Game is pretty intense; I am still working through it on Easy mode, but your constantly battling something like 9 guys at one time. Kill them all and tons more come which is pretty cool. There are no boring parts of just walking through stuff.

Now the gun wielding system is pretty innovative. You cant stock pile your weapons, you kill a guy take his gun once the ammo is depleted, kill another guy take his gun. There is also duel weapon targeting systems, which means you can mix different weapons, one for each hand and they independently target enemies, so you can go nuts.

In Conclusion Rogue Agent borrows, everything that Rare did to make Goldeneye what it was and expands it all, it also gives you a different take on the James Bond world. Being that you're working for a bad guy this time, taking on other bad guys. The cast list is also pretty impressive; you get to work along side of Odd job, and pussy galore, while fighting off other baddies. So overall if your fan of either perfect dark, or any of the other Bond titles get this game, I guarantee you wont be disappointed.

Ill update these impressions after Monday night with some Multi-player thoughts. After the rest of Nintopia.com have a all out kill each other fest.
