Any Nintendo fan ever knows of Excitebike and how fun and addictive it is despite it's simple gameplay. br>
Now, Ninendo is set to unleash a new game in the series, this time featuring off road trucks. Much of the standard gameplay ideas remain the same, players race around offroad tracks catching huge air (seriously, it's scary) and using their boost abilities sparingly to prevent overheating.
Though the game throws you behind the wheel of a big truck, the player still has complete control of the up and down movements of the vehicle, much like a bike, this allows players to land jumps more accurately.
The big addition the Wii brings is that platers hold the remote sideways and simply tilt it left or right to steer and up or down to control the angle of the truck in mid air. Many reports indicate that this method of control is very accurate if not pretty touchy when first getting used to it.
Also new are "real time terrain changes". As players race around tracks and run through powerups, the landscape litterally changes in front of your eyes. Hills pop up from out of nowhere allowing you to get even more air. Pretty damn cool
Excite Truck will be available when the Wii launches on November 19th.
