King K Rool is back at it again
by Trevor Siemens
The Game: The third chapter of one the best franchise to grace the SuperNes since Mario.
Gameplay: Donkey and Diddy have been captured and its up to Kiddy and Dixie to save them. DKC3 has you running through huge side scrolling levels, complete with snow, as you search out who kidnapped Diddy and Donkey
Visuals: The visuals are absolutely stunning, beautiful backdrops, wicked enemy detail and AI. DKC 3 has to have the best graphics out of the whole series, utilizing the full power of the supernes. This is one of the best features of the game Like the first Donkey Kong Country game. Rare spent hours animating every pixel to create one hell of a sweet product, which is one of the best super nintendo games, I have ever played.
Audio: As in all the other Donkey Kong games for the SUPERNES the music is excellent. I’m not to sure but I think some of the music was even composed by Kojo Kondo (he did music for all the Mario and Zelda games). Even the sfx is good. Crisp and clear. Rare did a excellent job on matching the music to the game and I greatly appreciated it.
Control: Control is pretty much just the same as Dkc2 featuring some new moves not many though. You control two characters: Kiddy Kong a toddler that tags along for the adventure and Dixie Kong from the second Donkey Kong Country.
Replay Value: Once you beat the game and achieve 105% and find everything the game gets pretty weak. Dont take me wrong It is still is fun but now you know where everything is leaving the replay value pretty low.
