A bird and a bear duo who wudda a thunk?
by Trevor Siemens
The Game: One of the best 3d platformers ever crafted, it set standards which cannot be beat
Gameplay: A Bird and a Bear duo?, go figure. Well its true, in this adventure you take the roles of Banjo a bear, and his squawking friend Tooie a bird, who oddly enough lives in Banjo’s backpack. Using many tricks you learn along the way, you smash your way through numerous levels, in search of Banjo sister who has been kidnapped by the evil witch Gruntelda, because she is too beautiful. This is one game that redefined 3d platformers and set at standard in which now all game live up to, god bless rare
Visuals: The graphics in this game are pretty good except that it certain parts it gets to be really jerky, man did my eyes start to hurt when that happens for a while, especially when you fight that gorilla in Mumbos Mountain. Over all the graphics are good and the game has pretty good textured areas so it doesn’t give you that repeating feeling.
Audio:The music in this game is pretty good it has some good beats to it. The sound effects are pretty good to its weird how they talk though, they talk in gibberish which in a way is pretty sweet. Also one sound you will love to here is those dragon flies in Bubblegloop swamp damn they sound good when they whiz by you.
Control: This game has very similar control as Super Mario 64, you walk around with the joy stick do moves with the C A Z B R buttons. Overall the controls are excellent for a action/ adventure game of this calibre.
Replay Value:Banjo Kazooie is one damn good game but all good games come to a end. The replay value of this game is pretty good I’ve beaten it like 20 times now, but for some reason I am still not sick of it, and still find it quite enjoying.
